At Stag Timber Floors, our mission is to provide our customers with the highest level of quality and service. We strive to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results on every project we undertake.
The process of floor sanding involves using a series of sanding machines at different grits to achieve a flat and smooth surface. Nearly all sanding machines will have either vacuums or dust extraction into a dust bag to aid in containing dust during the job.
We would then apply either a Water base or modified oil system which generally is, 1x Seal coat and 2x top coats.
This can involve subfloor preparation and subfloor installation.
The installation of hardwood flooring has different specifications in which the timber flooring product you've chosen should be fixed down for installation, however is generally fixed by either beaded/partial glue, secret tongue and groove staples or instead of partial glue a full trowel glue must be done.
Engineered timber flooring normally composes of a real timber veneer manufactured with plywood base attached on the bottom which provides a solid and sometimes more stable floor.
The installation of floating floors is to install a hard covering floor with no use of glue or staples.
A common example of a floating floor is a laminate floor covering
Deck sanding can be achieved by using a wire brush drum attached to our typical floor sanding machine to remove old coatings and clean the old timber surface. By using our wire brush drum there is no need to worry about extra cost to punch nails or remove and countersink proud screws.
After sanding we would then apply 2 or 3 coats of oil/water based coatings of choice.
